REMOTE AND FLEXIBLE LEARNING MONDAY 15th FEBRUARY TO WEDNESDAY 17th FEBRUARY 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following advice from the Victorian Government and the Department of Education, Bell Park North Primary School, like all Victorian Schools, will be moving to remote and flexible learning from Monday 15th February – Wednesday 17th February.

This is a step all Victorian government schools are taking to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). This means that all students who can learn at home must learn from home. This is a very clear directive from the Victorian Government based on the advice of the Chief Health Officer.

On-site supervision in rural and regional Victoria will strictly only be available to:
• Children of parents who cannot work from home and where no other supervision arrangements can be made.
• Vulnerable children, including:
 Children in out-of-home care.
 Children deemed by Child Protection and/or Family Services to be at risk of harm.
 Children identified by the school as vulnerable (including via referral from a family violence agency, homelessness or youth justice service or mental health or other health service)

Parents wishing to have their children attend on site will be required to complete an On Site Attendance Request form (see attached) and receive approval to do so from myself or Mr Cox Assistant Principal. In giving approval you may be asked to provide supporting evidence that your children fall into one of these categories.

We would appreciate requests for Monday 15th – Wednesday 17th February being completed and emailed to the school as soon as possible before Monday morning or presented at school on Monday morning. A request form with evidence of your essential work (such as a confirmation letter from your employer or work identification / registration card) will need to be completed to gain approval for your child’s attendance.

Your children’s teachers will post a COMPASS message on Monday morning outlining the tasks set out for children to work on over the three days.
If you have any queries you can contact our school office on Monday morning on:
5278 3548 or if this is line is not working please phone the school mobile on 0437 171 593
We appreciate your co-operation and support once again.

Kind Regards
Anthea Lagadinos
